Appointments
Consultations are by appointment only, no walk in appointment are available. Emergencies & urgent cases will be attended to as needed. We offer telehealth consultations as long as you have had a face to face consultation in the last 12 months. We request that you let us know if you are running late, and if we know ahead of time, we will do the same for you. To encourage continuity of care, we suggest you request your preferred Doctor. Appointments are based on 15 minute intervals although, certain consultations are best dealt with by a longer appointment. These include consultations for an antenatal visit, more complex or multiple problems, mental health care plans, medical examinations, medical procedures, or if there is more than one person seeing the doctor. If you need a longer consultation with your doctor, please inform us when booking your appointment.
For an appointment on Saturday, please phone the practice from 8:30am – 9:00am Saturday morning to book, please note all Saturday appointments are privately billed.
Home Visits
Our doctors attempt to accommodate home-visits to patients who are not able to attend the practice. Please direct enquiries to your treating doctor.
Repeat Prescriptions & Referral Requests
You can lodge a request for a repeat prescription or referral with reception via email or phone. Please ensure you have the full details of what you need, including medications names & dosage.
If the doctor is unable to safely & correctly complete the request without seeing you, we will ask you to make an appointment. Early mornings are a busy time for our reception! We ask that if you are calling for a prescription or referral request you do so after 10am so we have time to assist you.
Script & Referral fee $25.00
We increased our fees of the 1st of July 2025 for repeat referral and prescription requests outside of an appointment.
We consider our patients & the current costs of healthcare when determining our prices. We have not increased our fees for 10 years +
Our doctors prefer to use eScripts, this is an immediate secure method & can be sent via email or mobile to you or your preferred pharmacy.
Diagnostic Results
Our reception staff can advise if your doctor has reviewed your results & if an appointment is required to discuss them. Early mornings are a busy time for our reception! We ask that if you are calling for results you do so after 10am so we have time to assist you.
Telephone, SMS & Email Contact
Doctors do not routinely accept phone calls with exceptions of other healthcare professionals or in an emergency situation, these calls will be triaged by our friendly team & directed appropriately. You are able to email us at reception@wfpwa.com.au; however this is for NON urgent communication only. Your query will be reviewed within 24-48 hours of receipt (not including weekends or public holidays). For matters of urgency please contact us via phone, if you are experiencing a medical emergency call 000. Our doctors occasionally use SMS services for appointment reminders & recall/preventative health services.
Recall Service
Preventative Healthcare plays an important part in maintaining your optimum health therefore, as a patient of our Practice you will automatically receive this service. Please be sure to advise your doctor if you wish to be excluded from the recall service.
After Hours
Our practice is supported by an after hours service which provides medical care to our patients during the following hours:
Mon – Fri: 6pm – 8am (next day)
Saturday: 12pm onwards
Sunday/Public Holidays: Open all day
